Pallath M. Thomas (Kunjumon) was born on January 6, 1942 as the third child of late V.
K. Mathew and late Aleyamma Mathew of Chelleth House, Nellimala, Kumbanad,
Kerala, India. He lost his father at an early age.
At a very young age Thomas left Kerala to different places in North India - Nagpur,
Rajasthan, and Ahmedabad; later he settled in Rajkot and worked there until 1995. In
1972, he married Annamma Thomas, Kattathanil Puthenveedu, Poovanmala, Ranni. He
had a passion for missions and was always willing to help missionaries. He attended
and was an active member of the Pentecostal Church of God, Rajkot, Gujarat and was
involved in church activities, especially in gospel tract distributions. He faced
persecution and endured beatings on few occasions from anti-faith groups due to his
commitment to sharing the Gospel of Christ.
In June 1995, Thomas migrated to the United States along with his family with the help
of his late brother Pr. P. M. Kuruvilla. He was a devoted member and actively
participated in various roles and responsibilities within the Houston Full Gospel
Church of God. He was one of the leading members in the Houston Church of God
choir team. He actively participated in the early morning chain prayers initiated by
the church elders. He generously supported various charitable causes, many pastors,
and their ministries. He led a life dedicated to serving others, discreetly carrying out
acts of charity without seeking recognition.
On Saturday, March 30, 2024, he was called to his eternal home. Thomas is survived
by his wife of fifty one years, Annamma Thomas (Mollykutty); his children and
grandchildren – Renny & Asha, Andrew, and Abraham; Roni & Mini, Nicole; and Raj &
Susan, Aaron, and Jordan. His siblings are late Pr. P. M. Kuruvilla & Aleyamma
Kuruvilla, Aleyamma Joseph & N. T. Joseph, Mariamma Baby, and late Dr. Baby
Thomas, Annamma Mathai and late M. G. Mathai.
Thomas cherished his family and friends, leaving fond memories for all those who
knew him. He lived a life that exemplified Christ's love. Even in his final days, his faith
did not waver and he was a source of comfort to others
