Pamela Kay (Henslee) Benton, age 83 of Springfield, Missouri passed from this life on February 8, 2025, at The Neighborhoods at Quail Creek.
Pamela was born to Cecil and Louise (Burgess) Henslee on June 28, 1941 in Springfield, Missouri.
She attended Springfield Public Schools before earning her Licenced Practical Nursing certificate from Graff Vo-Tech.
Pamela married the love of her life, Dale Thomas Benton, on June 21, 1959. They spent 59 years, 10 months, and 2 days together before his passing on April 23, 2019. Pamela has looked forward to their reunion every moment since.
Pamela worked for many years as a nurse in pediatrics, ophthalmology, and as a volunteer with local hospice agencies. Beyond her career, Pamela was busy raising two sons and faithfully serving in many churches.
Pamela is survived by her sons Stephen Benton (Dana) of Strafford, Missouri and David Benton (Rene) of Frisco, Texas and her brother Rand Henslee (Sherry Finley) of Springfield, MO. She is also survived by four grandchildren Matthew Benton (Kelly Osborne), Andrea Williams (Jonathan), Alexandra Kirkpatrick (Dustin), Mitchell Benton, great-grandchildren Zane Williams, Oscar Benton, and Lyla Williams, nieces and nephew Amber Henson (Mitch), Erin Peterson (Jeremy), Evan Henslee (Melinda), Jordan Cloud (Coleton), and Ashton Archer (Josh).
The family finds comfort in knowing Pamela is at peace with her Lord and Savior.
A visitation will be held at Greenlawn North on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 10:00 in the morning followed by a funeral and private burial.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Pamela's name to Grand Oak Mission at 2854 Grand Street Springfield, MO 65802.
