Pamela Bradshaw

If you were to enter the room and hear a wonderful story in motion and then rounded the corner to
hear laughter at its re-telling there is a possibility that you met Pamela Bowen Bradshaw.
Pamela (Pam), 68, of Albertville passed peacefully in her home the morning of July 15, 2024.
She is survived by her loving husband, James Bradshaw; two children, Derrick (Connie) Wilson and
Amanda (Jeff) Conn; one stepson Jim Bradshaw; seven grandchildren, Jayden and Avery Conn,
Lainey, Sam, Cy, Mari-Michael and Maggie Wilson; brother and sisters, Ronny Bowen, Lawanna
(Leon) McCamy, and Heather Weaver; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Leroy (Buck) and Merle Bowen, and sister-in-law,
Alice Bowen.
Pam grew up in Albertville and finished school at Douglas High School. Along with her parents, her
brother and sisters, Ronny, Lawanna, and Heather rounded out her loving family. She worked in
different hospitals over the years as an insurance clerk. She and her husband Jim were married for
23 years and resided in Gardendale, Alabama for much of that time before moving back to her
hometown of Albertville two years ago.
Pam took up painting as a hobby perhaps without realizing the talent that would unfold before
everyone's eyes. She was a talented artist and seamstress. She loved to sing with her family,
enjoyed playing piano, and was a master storyteller. Her true passion, however, was her family. She
loved her family fiercely and could tell you in detail every fun and precious story concerning them.
Eighteen years ago, she began to battle cancer. Through many storms and dark seasons of pain and
suffering, Pam continued to shine the light of Jesus to all who came in contact with her. She
continued to bless others with kindness.
In the face of death, she lived.
Pamela truly was a work of art painted carefully with the brushstrokes of the Lord's own kindness,
gentleness, humility and humor. A masterpiece of beauty and joy in the face of trial and suffering,
she proved how the shadows that grace the canvas of life can truly serve to draw your attention to
the light.
Her smile was heart-lifting, and her laugh was contagious.
Her talent was awe-inspiring, and her humility breathtaking.
Her battle was constant, but her victory is eternal.
She is missed terribly and loved beyond description.
Visitation will be Wednesday July 17th at Adams Brown Funeral Home in Albertville.
Family from 4-5pm, friends 5-7pm.
Funeral service will be Thursday, July 18th at 11am at Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Horton. She will
lie in state from 10-11am. Interment will be at Liberty Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers if you would
like to give in her honor/memory, please send any donations to Liberty Hill Baptist Church and/or
Shepherd's Cove Hospice.
