Pamela "GiGi" Byrd, age 78, formerly of Lebanon and a current resident of Franklin, TN, passed away September 7th 2025.
She is preceded in death by her parents James "Mac" and Emma Austin; son, Jeff Byrd and sister, Maclyn (Jimmy) Crawford.
She is survived by daughter, Traci Byrd (Ronda) Landers; daughter in law, Susan Byrd; grandchildren, Lauren, Morgan (Chad), Tori (Brittney) Sommer (Tracey) Okey, Roland, Jake (Julia), Emily (Jake), Jackson, Caroline; great grandchildren, Ashtyn Emma Faith, Maddock, Brendan, Eloise, Philip, Annie James, Mary Grace, Jacob Bear and Bria; great great grandchildren, Haylynn and Holland; and many other loving family members.
Pam was a 1964 graduate of Lebanon High School and attended Austin Peay State University.
Pam spent over 25 years as Executive Director of the March of Dimes, dedicating her career to helping others, She also enjoyed her part time work at Dillard's, where she made many new friends and lasting relationships. Her greatest joy, though, was her family-especially her grandchildren. She loved spending time by the water, whether at the beach, lake, or pool, and was always the first to lay out a towel to save the perfect spot. She also loved cheering on the Crimson Tide. She enjoyed doing crafts with her grandchildren, especially making Christmas ornaments. A talented cook and a sweet friend, Pam loved being with friends and made everyone feel welcome.
A Celebration of Life service for Pam will be held on Saturday October 4th from 3-6 pm at the Lipstick Lounge, 1400 Woodland Street, Nashville, Tn 37206. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the March of Dimes in Pam's memory.
