Pamela L. Ish
3/10/60 to 3/8/23
Pam slipped away peacefully after fighting a difficult disease for a very long time. She leaves behind her husband of almost 28 years, Robert Ish, Jr., her three children, Kelli M. Ish, Katelin R. Ish and Robert J. Ish, her sister Kathy (Tom) Rosenbergh and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. We can not forget all the animals, domestic or wild, that she loved and cared for all her life. Pam was preceeded in death by her parents, Joseph and Yvonne VanGilder. Pam was a Registered Nurse at University of Michigan Hospital for many years, then a home health care nurse for many more. It was in her nature to help others, a true caring woman. While her zest for life was tempered these last few years she still took joy in her birds, "Chippers", "Nutters" and an occasional opossum or raccoon hitting up the bird feeders and the ground below. Pam had a fondness and knack for fishing. Usually having luck when the rest of us.....not so much. Pam was a lover of music, mainly, classic rock and roll. This love would frequently result in a musical outburst that came straight from her soul. In her last few days, she was heard softly serenading herself and the others in the room. A kind soul, always offering help. The first to apologize, even if the apology wasn't hers to make. Those things are life lessons she gave us, her family and friends. We should honor her memory by remembering these lessons and do our best to follow them.
