Pamela Kisel Obituary
Pamela "Pam" Kisel, age 68, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Pam was the devoted wife of Mark Kisel for 46 wonderful years, having been married on January 27, 1979. She was a proud and loving mother to Amy (Steven) Campbell and a cherished grandmother to Tucker, who was the absolute joy of her life. Pam is also survived by her sister, Peggy (David) Dwyer, and her brother, Robert (Anna) Paddock; her beloved niece and nephew, Katie Dwyer (Sam Farrajs), Jack Dwyer, and Nick Paddock; and many extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmund and Genevieve.
Pam grew up in the Detroit and Hamtramck areas, where she met the love of her life, Mark, while attending Hamtramck High School. She went on to build a remarkable professional career, working for more than 40 years as an accountant at Campbell Ewald, a respected advertising and marketing agency.
Family was at the heart of Pam's life. She treasured annual family vacations to Mackinac Island and Traverse City, as well as many trips to California to visit relatives, enjoying destinations such as Long Beach, Disneyland, and SeaWorld. Pam and Mark were longtime members of the Detroit Zoological Society, reflecting her lifelong love of animals.
Pam lived an active and creative life. She enjoyed running, aerobics, and Zumba, and she cherished time spent crafting and making stained glass with her high school friends. She was also a talented baker, especially known for her Christmas sugar cookies, which she lovingly made and shared as gifts with family and friends each year.
Pam was endlessly supportive of her daughter Amy, traveling nationwide to watch her gymnastics and dance performances. Above all, Pam adored her grandson Tucker. Known affectionately as "Silly Grandma" to Tucker-whom she lovingly called "Sugar"-the two shared countless happy days together on the family property, especially playing Tucker's favorite game, Hide and Seek.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
