Todd Kisel Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beck Funeral Home in Austin/Round Rock on Feb. 14, 2024.
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Todd, who departed from this world on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at the age of 58.
Todd was born on June 7, 1965, in St. Louis, Missouri. He pursued his academic aspirations at the University of North Texas, where he graduated in 1989, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. Although his favorite job had him working inside Yellowstone National Park in the early 90's, he found a renewed passion working at Texas Association of Counties where, for nearly a decade, Todd served diligently, bringing passion and commitment to his role.
Beyond his academic and work achievements, Todd was a man of many passions. He found solace and joy in the art of fly-fishing, spending countless hours on serene rivers and creeks, connecting with nature in its purest form. The tranquility he experienced while casting lines and feeling the gentle tug of a fish resonated deeply within him.
As a true Texan at heart, Todd was an avid supporter of the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. His enthusiasm for sports was infectious, and he could often be found cheering on his favorite teams with unmatched fervor. His dedication to his hometown teams was unwavering, and he took great pride in their victories and accomplishments.
Survived by his loving wife Jennifer, daughter Allison, and son Benjamin, he is also survived by his brother David Kisel, brother and sister-in-law Jeff and Dana Kisel, mother and father-in-law Mel and Joan Wade and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Kenneth and Claire Wade. Additionally, he leaves behind seven nieces and nephews, as well as a multitude of friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
He is preceded in death by his parents John Kisel, Kaydonna Friesen and brother Paul Kisel.
A celebration of Todd's life will begin with a viewing at 1pm, followed by a memorial service at 2pm on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Beck Funeral Home, 15709 Ranch Rd 620 N, Austin, TX.
Todd Stephen Kisel will be remembered for his zest for life, his unwavering passion for the things he loved, and the indelible mark he left on the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will live on in the memories and hearts of all who were touched by his presence.
Rest in peace, Todd. Your light will continue to shine brightly in our lives forevermore.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Todd through TAC. He was such a sweet and helpful person to me anytime I called or emailed him with any questions or issues. I retired from our county the end of December but I must say he was the best "go to person" ever. I am so sorry for this tremendous loss. Saying lots of prayers for his family
