Pamela Geralyn Long-Steinmeyer, 59, of Hannibal, Missouri beloved mother and grandmother, was born March 18, 1966, in St. Louis, Missouri in the front seat of a 1965 Oldsmobile Delta 88 to Raymond and Geraldine (Rolwes) Long. Pam entered into eternal life on November 17, 2025, at Big Bend Woods Care Center in Valley Park, Missouri. Pam is the fourth of five children and was a 1984 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School. Pam has two sons, Nicholas and Sean Steinmeyer.
Pam lived life to its fullest and loved everything about the outdoors, animals, critters, insects, spiders, snakes, and turtles. If it lived outdoors, it was a friend of hers. Pam had a profound love for all of God’s creatures. Pam simply loved being outside and had the patience of Job when it came to capturing, caring for, breeding, and releasing critters. She truly was a modern-day St. Francis of Assisi with her passion for all animals. She loved her pets. Her heart was as warm as summer’s day sunshine and equally as strong. In addition to her love of critters was her undying love of her “babies” at Graceful Beginnings Daycare where she was a daycare teacher. Pam was a giver of her love; she did not hide it under a bushel basket. Pam frequently took her personal time from work to spend working with her mother and sisters in the family business, Geraldine Florist in Ferguson, Missouri. She worked many hours during most holidays to help “the flower shop.” Pam also gave up her personal time to care for her parents in St. Louis so her sister could travel to visit her daughter. She also had a talent for taking pictures of outdoor life; animals, insects, flora and fauna. Some of her amateur photos are extraordinary. She truly had an eye for composing and shooting a photo. Her fight to live was demonstrated to her loved ones to the very end. She wanted to fight. She was committed to fighting. She never once said she was done fighting or was giving up. She fought fearlessly with determination and commitment. Pam will be forever in our hearts, “Love you lady. Buh bye.”
She will be missed by many. Pam is survived by her son, Nicholas Steinmeyer, grandchildren Nicholas II and Evelyn; and son Sean Steinmeyer; her parents Raymond and Geraldine Long; Siblings Debbie Guarino (Victor), Randy Long (Cynthia), Timothy Long (Laura), and Kelly Long (Rene Cabrera). Nieces and Nephews, Christina Acup (Casey), Stephanie Prinster (Ben), Kaitlin Long (Mike Ibarra), Caleb Long (Renee), and Kelsey Eggers (Levi), Grand Nephews Jace and Logan Prinster. Pam’s extended Bonus Family; her long-time partner, Robert “Bobby” Waters; 4 bonus children, Jeanie Lamberson (Conn), Sara Murphy (Robert), Beth Watkins (Marvin), Bobby Waters; 8 Bonus grandchildren, Caleb, Emilee, Kynlee (Chad), Raegan, Marvin, Dylan, Dakoata, and Kason; 2 Bonus great grandchildren, Great Grandson Layton and expected great granddaughter Brexlee; Bonus Brothers in-laws Steve Waters (Donna), Danny Waters (Julie), Sister in-law Paula Waters.
