Pamela Kay Mason

Pamela Kay Mason, a beloved resident of London, Kentucky, was born on September 28, 1957, in Pineville, Kentucky. She was the cherished daughter of the late Orville Mason and Margie Burton Mason. Pamela departed this life on May 17, 2025, at the age of 67 years, 7 months and 19 days.
Pamela is survived by her loving daughters, Christie Scott, who she was so proud of, and husband David, who she thought of as a son, of Frankfort, Kentucky, and Melody Ibsen of London, Kentucky. She also leaves behind her stepdaughters, Amy England and her husband John of Tazewell, Tennessee, and April Keck and her husband Larry of Pineville, Kentucky. Her brothers, Chuck Mason and his wife Joyce of Frakes, Kentucky, Michael Mason of Fourmile, Kentucky, and Jerald Mason of Middlesboro, Kentucky, mourn her passing. Pamela was a proud grandmother to Teriann Ibsen and shared a special bond with her best friend, Phyllis Fields, a special friend Larry Sinkhorn and her faithful fur baby, Buddy.
Pam retired as a human resources specialist for the Department of Juvenile Justice. She was a devoted member of the Creek Church in London and a passionate supporter of the South Laurel Band. Pam found joy in keeping busy, whether it was through housework like cleaning or mowing, cooking for her family, or taking her beloved Buddy to the dog park. She was an avid UK Basketball fan and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. To say Pam was the best person doesn't do her justice. She was truly an amazing person who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
The funeral service for Pamela Kay Mason will be held at 2 pm on Friday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel, with Shawn Grubb and Shawn Allen officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather from 12 noon until the funeral hour at Bowling Funeral Home to celebrate her life and legacy.
