Pamela Joy Mauro, 73 of Neptune, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday October 23, 2024. Pamela was born at Fitkin Hospital Neptune NJ, and raised in Wall, NJ. She lived in Neptune for most of her adult life. Pamela graduated from Wall High School and graduated from Wall Vocational cosmetology school.
Pamela worked for the Neptune Board of Education as a Paraprofessional in Summerfield school with the deaf education program, retiring after 20 years of service. She was so proud of the work she did with the students. After retirement from the school district, she continued to care for many children of friends and family for many years. This is how she became our "NANNY", which she is referred to by many. Pamela was a long-time parishioner of Holy Innocents Church and School serving as PTA President and Cheerleading coach for many years.
Pamela was predeceased by her parents, Alvin C. Fisk, Ethel Mae Borden Fisk and her loving husband of 28 years Joseph L. Mauro III. Mommy you are now together with Daddy again sitting on that big front porch that he has been building you for the last 28 years. We know you have a big smile on your face again Mom as you and your love are together side by side.
Pamela is survived by her son, Joseph L. Mauro IV and his wife Alyssa, Kelly Ann Swallow and her husband Rob, her pride and joy grandchildren, Hailee Carpenter, Hannah J. Carpenter, Joseph L. Mauro V and Anthony Mauro, as well as her brother Alvin C. Fisk Jr. and his wife Colleen and sister-in-law Patricia A. Bruno.
Friends and Family are invited to view at Ely Funeral Home Neptune, NJ on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral Services will be Saturday, November 2, 2024, 10 am at the Ely Funeral Home with burial to follow at St Anne's Cemetery, Wall, NJ.
