Obituary of Pamela Jo McClary
Pamela Jo (Griffith) Johnston Shepard McClary is resting peacefully in the arms of Jesus. She joined her mother and father in heaven on January 2, 2022 at the age of 78. She was the sole child born to Barry and Sarah Griffith on Sept. 2, 1943 in San Francisco, Ca. She recently returned to her birth state to live her remaining year with her daughter and family on the Presidio of Monterey.
Pam got her Nursing Degree in 1964 at Providence School of Nursing, Mobile, AL. She worked as a registered nurse for more than 30 years in Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas and Kentucky. She dearly loved her children and family and her Lord, Jesus Christ. She was very good at taking care of people and she was known for her generosity and caring. She will be missed by many who loved her.
She is survived by her 4 children: Michele Johnston (Saudi Arabia), Terry Johnston (New Mexico), Sheri Lynn (Johnston) & Ben Ellington (Monterey), and Andrew & Stephanie Johnston (Texas), and her 9 grandchildren; Jake Johnston, Brandon, Sarah, Samantha, & Savannah Ellington, Hayley, Ryley, Jaxen, and Linken Johnston and her 2 great grandchildren: Azalea and Dahlia Johnston.
Her ashes will be laid to rest in Dunn, North Carolina next to her Mother and Daddy in the near future. Please share your favorite memory of Pam, as you help us remember her time with us on this earth. Although we will miss her, we are so thankful that she is finally at peace.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you please consider donating to the International Rett syndrome Foundation (rettsyndrome.org).
