Pamela Ann (Larsen) Schaeffer went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 11, 2025. Pamela was born on June 16, 1951, in Milwaukee, WI to William and Joan (Husak) Larsen.
Pamela is survived by her three children Kelly (Harry) Castaldo, Joshua (Christine) Schaeffer, and James (Laura) Schaeffer; her grandchildren Nolan Schaeffer, Kylie Schaeffer, Ryan Schaeffer, Oliver Schaeffer, and Logan Schaeffer; her grand puppies Optimus and Kyber Castaldo and Bella and Yoshi Schaeffer; and her grand bunny Honey Bunny. Pamela is also survived by her sisters Krissie Larsen and Nancy Larsen.
Pamela attended Faith Baptist Church in Oconomowoc for many years forming many friendships, most notably with Debbie Garber and her late husband Jim. They were always a second family to Pam and her children and their sharing and caring over the years was vital. Pam also worked as the secretary at Waukesha Christian Academy while her children attended the school. There she loved interacting with all of the families and attending as many of the sports games as she could.
Outside of family, friends, and church, Pamela loved watching the wildlife around her house and condo. It would not be uncommon to visit her and see deer on her patio or turkeys eating the food she would leave out on her picnic table. Pam would take her children to as many Brewers games as possible in the Milwaukee County Stadium days. Always sitting in the same bleacher seats, she would often interact with the Brewers’ bullpen crew and even once caught a Paul O’Neill home run ball that bounced off the bleachers behind her by simply sticking her arm out blindly and having the ball fall right into her hand.
Pamela’s other love was going to Milwaukee Admirals hockey games. As a season ticket holder for many years, she would attend the games with her young children, mother, and sister. While her sons did not continue with the Admirals games, she continued attending with her daughter Kelly until she no longer could. During her time cheering for the Admirals, she was able to witness them win a championship, make friends with many other fans and even some players, and watch her daughter fall in love with one of the team employees.
Pamela left an impact on everyone she met, and we will all miss her dearly. She did not want a funeral, so stay tuned and we will update this when we have arranged a time and place to have a celebration of her life!
