Pamela Dean Smith

Perry, GA- Pamela Dean (Sparks) Smith, 61, affectionately known to family and friends as "Honey," passed away peacefully at her home on August 19, 2024, just two days shy of her 62nd birthday. Born on August 21, 1962, in Stone Mountain, Georgia, Pamela was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.
Pamela was preceded in death by her parents: James R. Sparks and Dixie Lee (Dean) Sparks along with her sister: Valerie Ann Lauria.
Her memory will be cherished by her beloved husband: David Eric Smith; son: Michael Roberts (Jessica) of Perry, Georgia, her beloved grandchildren, Reid and Adalyn, who brought immense joy to her life; sisters, Kimberly Ann (Sparks) Hathcock (Bill) of Perry, Georgia, and Victoria Lynn (Sparks) Gross (Bruce) of Bonaire, Georgia. Pamela also leaves behind her nephew, Heath Ryan Hathcock, and nieces Heather Nichole Marsh and Jaime Lynn Lauria, who will remember her with fondness and affection.
A talented artist with a passion for creativity, Pamela worked as the owner and operator of Precision Nails, and co-owner of Body Blyng Face Painting, where her artistic flair was admired by many. She was an active member of Southside Baptist Church, where her faith and warmth were a source of inspiration to those around her.
Pamela had a zest for life that extended to her many interests. She had a love for motorcycles, camping, and music, particularly the energetic tunes of Ted Nugent. Her fondness for English Bulldogs and her love for her family were defining aspects of her life. Pamela's adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors were matched only by her deep commitment to her loved ones.
A celebration of Pamela's life will be held at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory, where friends and family are invited to gather and honor her memory. The memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 11:00 with the visitation being held an hour prior. Reverend Jerry Walls will be officiating. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their support and condolences during this time of loss.
Pamela Dean (Sparks) Smith will be remembered for her boundless love, her artistic talent, and her unwavering commitment to those she cherished. Her legacy will live on through her family and the many lives she touched with her kindness and vibrant spirit.
