Pamela Keen Smith, 68, of Durham, passed away February 28, 2026, at Duke Hock Family Pavilion. She was born on February 28, 1958, to the late Donald and Doris Keen,
She was preceded in death by her husband James C. “Fat Cat” Smith, sons, Jason and Michael Gates.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna Marie Smith; sons, Scott Atkins (Brandy) and Wayne Atkins; sisters, Judy Clack and Donna Pipkin (Kyle); grandchildren, Konnor Smith, Kaden Smith and Jason Culpepper; loving nephew Donald Taylor Clack (Allie); Uncle, Dwight Keen (Martha) and Aunt Barbara Taylor (J.W.)
Pam cherished her grandsons and was a mom to all. She was the best big sister anyone could ask for and will be deeply missed.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Hudson Funeral Home, 211 S. Miami Blvd., Durham, NC 27703.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 13, 2026 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Hugh O'Shields will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Durham, NC.
Flowers are acceptable.
