Pamela Trainque Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Anderson Funeral Home - Ayer on Mar. 21, 2025.
Pamela Trainque of Lunenburg died on March 18, 2025 at the age of 74, after an almost 2 year battle with assorted illnesses.
She leaves her devoted husband Roland with whom she would have celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on April 20th. She leaves her much loved sons, Jarrod and his wife Annie of Somerville, MA and Adam and his wife Nicole of New Orleans, Louisiana. She also leaves her precious grandchildren, Veronica and Louis of New Orleans.
She leaves her brother, Mark Soucy, in-laws Rick and Terrie Trainque of Lunenburg, Dolores and Don Moon of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Theresa and Richard Campbell of Richmond Hill, Georgia, Doreen and Dan Elliot of Petersham, MA. She also leaves 8 nieces and nephews, Peter, Christine, Sara, Max, Alex, Amanda, Stephen and Andy.
She was predeceased by her parents, Andy and Pat Soucy, her brother, Steven Soucy as well as her in-laws Roland and Claire Trainque.
Pam grew up in Lunenburg, having moved into the family home on Pratt St. as a toddler. She attended school in Lunenburg, graduating in 1969. After high school, she pursued a career in nursing. She spent the majority of her career at Health Alliance-Leominster campus for 40 years, retiring in 2016.
She enjoyed the outdoors, and when her health allowed, she could be seen walking her daily 4-mile routine in the Whalom area. When the boys were younger, Pam and Roland purchased a pop-up camper and camped in many areas throughout New England. They eventually took the time and trip of their lives as they headed west to the Rockies to enjoy the National Parks of Canada and the United States. Pam enjoyed skiing as a young adult but gave it up to raise her young family. She returned to skiing in the mid 90's! She bought yearly passes to Mount Wachusett ski area as well as joining the Montachusett Ski & Snowboard Club. She spent several years with her friends on the slopes. When her son Adam started his family in New Orleans, Pam and Roland decided to spend winters there to enjoy the grandchildren and the warmer snow-free weather. Unfortunately Pam's illness reduced their travels to the south. Pam will be missed by her family and close friends.
There will be a visitation at the Anderson Funeral Home, 25 Fitchburg Rd., Ayer on Friday, May 9th from 10AM – 12Noon. A prayer service will begin at 12Noon. In lieu of flowers, Pam requests donations to the American Cancer Society, 125 S Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
