Pamela Sue Wehrle Crabtree, 74, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at the UK Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky, following a brief illness. Pam was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania to the late June Augusta Roesler Wehrle and George William Wehrle on March 6, 1951. She grew up among six siblings and always enjoyed the outdoors. Pam earned a business degree from Indiana Business College which served her well throughout her life. She and her husband, David Crabtree, opened Electro-Shield Plating, Inc. in Georgetown, Kentucky in 1995, and have called Georgetown home for the past 33 years. Pam worked hard, raised a family, and still made time for socializing and community involvement. She enjoyed horseback riding, camping, and world traveling. Her favorite horse was named Traveler, describing Pam and their many rides together.
Pam will be lovingly remembered by her husband, David; her children, Tom (Holly) Osborn of Georgetown, Joe (Shannon Meyer) Osborn of Loveland, Colorado, Kelly (Dale) Huffman of Monument, Colorado; her step-children, Chris Crabtree of Long Beach, California, Nicholas (Tara) Crabtree and Sarah (Gary) Pritts, both of Fishers, Indiana; her grandchildren, Ethan and Sage Osborn, Petra and Cole Osborn, Bree and Kylie Huffman, Bella, Ryen, Bodhi, and Hendrix Crabtree, Anne Marie, Haylee and Zach Crabtree, Luke and Elizabeth Pritts; her brothers, George Wehrle and Don Wehrle; and her sisters, Sharyn Muzzarelli and Sandy Silvers. Pam was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Anthony Wehrle.
Pam's love and zeal for life gave her children and grandchildren many stories to tell. She was a wonderful mom and grandmother to all, and her legendary Christmas cookie recipe will remain an important part of her legacy. She loved riding and camping with her husband, her friends, and her grandchildren. She lunched with a group of beloved friends, "the gang," each week, and her passions for travel, the beach, and playing Pickleball continually brought new friends into her life. Pam was fun, playful, warm, and generous, and she will be dearly and greatly missed by all who loved her.
Services for Pam will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at St. John's Catholic Church in Georgetown, where Pam was a member. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am and the Service to at 10:30. A Reception will follow at the church. Friends and family are encouraged to share their condolences and memories here on Pam's tribute wall.
