Publish in a newspaper

Pamelia Ann Ferguson Maxwell, 91, of Villa Rica, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 28, 2025. She was born on December 26, 1933, the daughter of the late James William Ferguson, Sr. and Bessie Lorena Trice Ferguson.
She was a respected member of her community and a loving matriarch. Throughout her life, Pamelia dedicated over twenty years to her career at the Bank of Upson, where she was known for her unwavering commitment to her work and her genuine care for those she served. In addition to her banking career, she made significant contributions as a Pink Lady at Upson Regional Hospital, providing support and comfort to countless patients and families during their times of need. Pamelia also founded a retail business called The Sand Pail on Jekyll Island.
Her greatest joy, however, came from her family, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pamelia had a special gift for nurturing relationships and helping others, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Villa Rica.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ronald (Ronny) Maxwell; grandson, Christopher Maxwell; brothers, James W. Ferguson, Jr. and Henry Lafayette Ferguson and sister, Betty Thornton.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Rick Stephens of Temple; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Vicki Maxwell of St. Mary's, Georgia; grandchildren, Russ Stephens (Jenica) and Whitney Maxwell Eubank; great-grandchildren, Kendall Maxwell, Owen Stephens, Lily Kate Stephens, Max Stephens, Max Eubank, Asher Eubank, and Levi Eubank; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel with funeral services at 11:30 AM with Rev. Jeff Powell officiating. Interment will take place at Crystal Hill Cemetery at 2:30 PM in Thomaston, Georgia.
Flowers are accepted, however; donations can be made to Amazing Grace Hospice, 119 South Candler Street, Villa Rica, GA 30180.
Pamelia's legacy of kindness, service, and love will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
