Parker Elijah Simmons, born on February 22, 2001, in Burke County, North Carolina, peacefully departed from this world on August 22, 2025, at the Memorial Mission Campus. He was 24 years old. Parker was a beloved son, brother, boyfriend and friend who touched the lives of many with his infectious spirit.
Growing up in a loving household, Parker was the cherished son of Joe and Daniele Rhymer Simmons. He was a devoted brother to his siblings: Karlie Faith Simmons, Trever Chase Simmons, and Skylar Rhymer. Parker also leaves behind his girlfriend, Andie White. His grandmothers, Jean Rhymer and Brenda Simmons, also survive him.
Known for his larger-than-life love for people, Parker had an extraordinary ability to connect with others. He never met a stranger; his bold personality, gifted to him by the Lord, lit up the lives of everyone he encountered. Parker was recognized as a bright light in a sometimes dark world, and his absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew him. He used his talent of song for many years for the Lord. Singing brought Parker joy.
In addition to his engaging character, Parker was an avid fisherman. The tranquil moments spent by the water brought him joy and serenity. His enthusiasm for life and the great outdoors further reflected the depth of his vibrant spirit.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Parker's life during the visitation on August 25, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 6:00 PM, both held at Trinity Hill FWB Church, located at 7175 US 70 E, Nebo, NC 28761.
Parker Elijah Simmons' legacy of love, warmth, and friendship will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched. He will be dearly missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him.
