Parker James Sowles

Parker James Sowles was born March 16, 2006, and passed away tragically on June 26, 2025. Parker was a force to be reckoned with from day one! He gradated high school June 2024, and planned to join the Navy next spring-- he had so many hopes and dreams. Parker could put a smile on anyone's face day or night. He was loving, funny and was there for anyone at the drop of a hat. He loved video games, but loved being in the outdoors with his friends and family even more. When Parker Loved--he loved big, and wore his heart on his sleeve.
Parker is survived by and leaves behind so many family, friends and people who loved him! These include his Mom, Misty Sowles-Hammer; his step-dad Lg Hammer; his father Samuel (Billie) Gates; also his bonus mom, Amanda Davis. Other survivors include his siblings Kayla and her fiancé Fabian Barajas and niece Izabella Barajas; Samuel James Gates JR., Isabella Gates and Mavrick Gates, and many step siblings and foster siblings. Then there are his numerous grandparents: James (Laurie) Sowles, Iva Sowles, Angie and Mike Trainor and Mark (Julie) Gates. Other family members include many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous other family members and friends. Parker is preceded in death by his three brothers; Johnathan,
Wade and Steven; his cousin and hero Brady Hammer, and his other hero-- his Nana Katherine Parker, and many other aunts, uncles, grandparents and great-grandparents.
Parker's service and Celebration of Life will be held on August 2, 2025 at 1:00 PM. The location is Occasions Rental Venue: 4039 S. 6 th St. There will be a potluck to follow if you would like to bring something.
