Patricia "Patsy" Ann Wills Moffett passed away on September 22, 2023, lovingly surrounded by family. Patsy was born in New Castle, Indiana on July 15, 1942, the daughter of Chester H. and Edna M. (Scott) Wills. She moved to Westport in 1949 where she graduated from Sandcreek High School. In 1961 she was married to Davie N. Moffett. Together they raised their four children Lisa (Patrick) Rooney, Brenda (Patrick) Duhaime, Wendy (Kyle) Apperson, and David Steven "Steve" Moffett on North Dean Street in a home forever filled with unconditional love and support. Patsy's love had no end, so it is of no surprise that each of her nine grandchildren; Ry Guy, Little Laur, Babe, Britters, Court, Nathan, Pat, James, and Kali Bug, adored her. Patsy "Ma" as she was affectionately known by, had the unmatched ability to make every person feel like they were her favorite. She welcomed everyone she came across with a smile that was so bright it left an afterglow of happiness in the room. Patsy loved nothing more than being with her people. She was up for literally every adventure her grands presented, whether it was riding roller coasters or wheelchair dancing at a recent wedding reception. She loved playing board games with her dear friend and partner in crime, Patsy Black Kilgore as well as many other dear friends and family. She had a quick wit, a most amazing sense of humor and a beautiful laugh that will be missed so very much. She provided us with uncontrollable laughter and fun times. She was our queen of the casino, our champion of Rummikub, and our Best Friend. Patsy fought a hard battle against multiple diagnoses. In 2018 the Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN) diagnosed her with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) a neurodegenerative disorder that affected her balance, her ability to walk and her body movements. She was a trooper and as her diseases progressed, she bravely continued to travel to Rochester as a participant in the clinical trials with the hope of saving or improving the lives of others. Due to Patsy's generosity and dedication to neurological disease, the Mayo clinic, in conjunction with the expertise of Mike Gasper, was able to successfully procure the organs necessary to further the continuance of neurological research at the Mayo Clinic, making her final wishes a reality. Patsy is survived by her husband; her four children; nine grandchildren, Ryan (Angie) Duhaime, Lauren Duhaime, Whitney (Brian) Middleton, Britney (Chris) Booher, Courtney (Adam) Stewart, Nathan (Stephanie) Apperson, Patrick (Denise) Rooney; James Rooney, Kali Moffett, and fourteen great grandchildren, JP and Mason Deery; Bindi Middleton; Lucas, Ruby, and Hazel Booher; Simon and Maxwell Stewart; Jack, Charlie, Henry, Finn, Emma and George Rooney; her brother, Chester Wills, Jr., her sisters-in-law, Ruth and Genevieve Wills; her brothers-in-law, Ronnie (Rachel), Randy (Karen), Dannie (Helen); and her nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Clarence and Steven Wills, her brother-in-law, Johnnie Moffett and her sister-in-law Rosemary Moffett. Memorial services will be held at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home (402 East Bennett Street, Westport, IN 47283). There will be a visitation held on Saturday, November 18th at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Service at 11:30 p.m. Memorial contributions made be made to the Mayo Department of Development (Attn: Dr. Keith Josephs Research Program, 200 First St SW. Rochester, MN 55905) Patsy would love to be remembered with funny or silly stories being shared as we celebrate her life and how very blessed we were to have her in ours.

Patsy and I wore slacks and shirts to school the first day together that a dress was not required so we would not be alone that day, neither of us were stand out persons. As new married couples we had a card game group for entertainment. We enjoyed our young life with this group and later we visited for games. Praying for Dave and family to remember the good times.Loved this past .
