Patricia Biddle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home on Jun. 25, 2022.
Patricia Ann Biddle (Montgomery) passed away June 23,2022 at home with her family by her side, after a long battle with kidney failure. Patricia (Treaty) was born October 17, 1938 in Lexington, Kentucky and was raised on Sandersville Rd. She attended Lafayette High School and married David P. Biddle. Sr. on August 7, 1955.
She accepted salvation at 12 years old and was baptized at Ashland Avenue Baptist Church where she was a long-time member. She is currently a member of Bethel Christian Church in Nicholasville, Kentucky. She enjoyed working at VBS every year making and serving snacks to the kids and staff and watching the children play every night. She volunteered in the nursery and children's church. She enjoyed the evening services, especially Wednesday Bible Study and the Good Friday Service was her favorite special service. Before joining Bethel, she was a member of Highlands Baptist Church where she was nursery director, worked VBS, taught Sunday School classes- Youth, College and Career- and cooked for the RA's and GA's camps every year.
She raised 4 children and spent many years taking care of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Summers were busy, feeding David and several grandchildren a hot lunch was a normal, everyday occurrence. She enjoyed fishing, cross stitch, embroidery, reading, working jig saw puzzles and crossword/word search puzzles, baseball and watching her grandkids in their activities. Patricia was a hard worker. She worked on the farm, setting and stripping tobacco and cooking for the farm hands during tobacco housing season. She worked in the garden and canned or froze the produce and fruit for future meals.
She never missed a chance to hold and kiss a baby. She would sit in a chair holding a sleeping baby, for hours, even if it meant she had to watch the same cartoon over and over, since changing the channel would mean waking the baby.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 67 years, David Biddle, Sr., two daughters, Deborah Carr (Gip) and Beverly Bales (Bill) one son, Dave Biddle, Jr., eight grandchildren, April Steward (Jason Soper), Jason Carr (Tabitha), JD Biddle (Sam), Jesse Biddle (Madison Pawley), Nathan Biddle (Lucinda), Travis Bales (Chelsey), Samantha Bales (Blake McDonald) and Haley Burkhead and great-grandchildren, Jacob Steward, Kassidy Steward, Levi Carr, Lucas Carr. She was excited for Baby Bales due 2023. She was preceded in death by three daughters, Carolyn Jean Biddle, Cheryl Ann Biddle, and Brenda Carol McFaddin, her best friend/cousin, Juanita Pyles and Austin Montgomery, Sr. & Bertha B. Montgomery and her siblings.
