Patricia Eileen Bray

Patricia Eileen (Pat) Bray, 82, of Seal Beach, CA passed away on February 6, 2026 in Los Alamitos, CA.

Pat was born in Los Angeles County on January 22, 1944 to Reginald J. Bray and Isabelle Caroline Bray. During her early years the family lived in Inglewood, CA. In 1967 they moved to Seal Beach, CA. Pat's education was in Catholic schools, elementary and high school. She is a graduate of Mount St. Mary's University. Pat taught in Catholic schools for 47 years. Forty Five of those years were devoted to St. Irenaeus School in Cypress, CA. Pat was an art teacher.. She became known for bringing out the best in her students. She encouraged them to show the work they produced from her class in public art shows such as the City of Cypress Art Fest and the Diocese of Orange Art Fest. Over the years a number of her students won honors for their artwork. Pat also taught ESL (English as a Second Language) and helped many foreign students better adapt to school and to life in America. Pat assisted Special Needs students. Pat's caring approach made a difference for all her students. Socially, Pat was active in the Orange County Catholic Alumni Club. She was a participant and, on occasion, an organizer of club events and she became a much sought after planner and coordinator for conventions for the national organization, CACI. Pat loved to travel. She visited most of the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. Her travels included England and Ireland.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Reginald J. Bray and Isabelle Caroline Bray. She is mourned by her many friends, especially her long time love, Bob Giardina of New Orleans, LA.
