Patricia Elaine "Pat" Brumleve, 94, passed away on February 23, 2024 in St. Louis, Missouri surrounded by her three loving daughters.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, March 15, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis with interment to follow in St. Francis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Cardinal Glennon Pediatric Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
It cannot be overstated how important Pat's faith was to her, though she was by no means someone who lectured people on God and religion. She lived her faith. She was kind and generous and always ready to help. Howard's career advancements meant moving every two years. With each transfer, Pat would pack up the house and move to Ohio, Michigan, New Jersey, and back again while finding new schools and churches for her growing family. If these moves were stressful, we did not know it. She was so organized and so loving that we easily adapted to our new situations.
Pat and Howard retired to Florida, living out their dream of living on a golf course and playing year-round. Pat threw herself into many of the activities available to residents including bridge, country line dancing, the women's golf association board, and dancing on stage in the annual Follies. After Howard died, Pat moved to Friendship Village in St. Louis where she added residents and caregivers to her fanbase.
Pat is survived by her daughters, Ann (Jeff) Morris, Mary (Lou) Howell, Martha (Tom) Lord; her son, Paul (Chris) Brumleve; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Howard Brumleve, and her daughter, Patty.
We will miss our mom more than we can say but we know our dad is overjoyed that she is once again by his side.
