Patricia Louise Campbell, 95, of Clearwater, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025, as she would have wanted, near her children and surrounded by her beloved books. She leaves behind a legacy of grace, compassion, and quiet strength. Born Patricia L Kohanski in Cleveland, Ohio, she loved to play the piano, was a fantastic tap dancer, loved to go to the movies, was a model; crowned Miss Euclid in her early life, and was an avid and voracious reader and cruciverbalist. Travel was her passion.
A beloved wife, mother and grandmother, she was married to Stanley Campbell before his passing. Together they raised three children, Stan (Laura), Patty and Bobby. She was a proud grandmother to Todd, Tyler, Taylor, and Ashley.
Patricia was known for her love of reading and a love of travel which came later in life after her children had grown. She was able to travel with her children and her friends to many European cities and spent much time enjoying new cultures.
As a mother she provided great memories, reading Peter Rabbit or Beauty and the Beast, cleverly acting out the voices of the characters, making special lunches and watching movies while explaining the significance of them. As a homemaker her meatloaf, chili, pot roast, and stew and dumplings will never be duplicated.
Always up on current events and politics, she was a formidable opponent. Her luxury was receiving and diving into the Sunday New York Times book review section and crossword puzzle, which she completed with little effort.
Patricia was a beautiful, profound, fun, strong woman who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. We take solace and great happiness in knowing that she had a life well lived. As it should be.
Memorial contributions may be made in Patricia's name to the World Literacy Foundation, 712 H Street NE Suite 2013 Washington, D.C. 20002
