It is with great sorrow that the family of Patricia "Trish" Kate Close, announces her passing after a brief illness, on Sunday, November 17, 2024.

Trish, aged 64, grew up in Perry, Florida. Trish was a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and colleague. She graduated from Aucilla Christian Academy in 1978 and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Auburn University in 1982. After college, Trish lived in Mongomery, Alabama, and gained celebrity status as a popular radio show host. In 2000, she moved to Peachtree City, Georgia, and dedicated many years to her roles within the Human Resources Department at Delta Airlines.

Trish shared a special bond with her family through their love of beagles. They had several on their farm in Perry. Over the years, Trish, too, had many adorable beagles, including Sir William, Sadie, Miss Jane, and her first and dearest, Daisy.

Trish was preceded in death by her parents, Boyd W. Close and Martha K. Close. She is survived by her brother, Bert W. Close (Janeen) of Peachtree City, Georgia; her nephew, Karl J. Close of Fairbanks, Alaska; and her niece, Martha K. Close of Augusta, Georgia.

The family will host her graveside service which will be held in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Perry, Florida, on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
