Patricia Ann Davis, fondly known as Ann, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2023, in Birmingham, Alabama. Born on November 21, 1949, in Alexander City, Alabama, Ann was a beacon of love, kindness, and selflessness throughout her life.
Ann was a devoted daughter to her parents, Jim Bob and Aloise McManus, who preceded her in death. She was a loving wife to her late husband, Floyd C. Davis, and together they built a beautiful family. Ann is survived by her children, Wayne Davis (Nan), Jimmy Davis (April), Connie Grooms (Mike), Barry Davis (Jenny), and Sandra Davis. She was a cherished "MeMe" to her grandchildren, Tad Davis (Kaitlyn), Barry Wayne Shurum, Hunter Davis, Colby Davis (Presley), Summer Lanier (Warren), Morgan Baker, Chelsea Davis, Logan Davis, Shannon Davis, Chase Davis, Will Thrasher (Hanna), and her great-grandchildren, Brayden McGinnis, Ari Lanier, Ben Lanier, Timothy Davis, Emilyn Davis, Knoxley Baker, Madison Davis, Cooper Davis, Damien Thrasher, and Finn Thrasher. She was preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter, Kayla Davis.
For over 30+ years, Ann was a dedicated seamstress at Russell Corporation. Her work was a testament to her meticulous nature and commitment to excellence. She was known for her attention to detail and the love she poured into each stitch. Beyond her professional life, Ann was a loving caretaker. She had a nurturing spirit that extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of many in her community. Faith was an important part of Ann's life, and she was a member of Prospect Baptist Church. She found comfort and community through her worship.
Ann's interests were as varied as they were passionate. She was an excellent cook, known for her delicious meals that were always made with an extra dash of love. She was a voracious reader and an avid card player, often combining the two for a cozy evening at home. Ann also had a love for sports, particularly softball. She coached many teams over the years and was the team mom, always cheering from the sidelines and offering support to every player.
Above all, Ann was a wonderful mother and a loving "MeMe" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family was her world, and she devoted her life to nurturing and caring for them. Her love was unconditional, her patience was endless, and her kindness knew no bounds. She taught her children the importance of love, kindness, and selflessness, values that they carry with them to this day.
Patricia Ann Davis will be remembered for her loving nature, her kind spirit, and her selfless devotion to her family. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will continue to inspire and guide her family for generations to come.
