Patricia A. Dillard

Patricia Ann Dillard was born September 17, 1946 in Wilmington, Delaware to the late Samuel H. and Helen H. Dillard. Patricia departed this life on Friday, February 17, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware.
Patricia, lovingly referred to as Trish Ann or Trisha by family and friends, received her early education at Millside School and Dunleith Community School in Wilmington, Delaware. She graduated from De Le Warr High School in 1964. She attended Delaware State College where she was on the Deans List.
Throughout her life Trish Ann worked at a variety of jobs. She held positions at DuPont, The News Journal, teaching, the Post Office and in banking.
Trish Ann had a heart of gold and would help those she loved, no matter the cost. She enjoyed long walks where she would spend time with her cousins from the West Side of Wilmington, and she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She loved spoiling her daughter and grandchildren. One of her favorite pastimes was watching The Temptations with her granddaughter Danasia. She looked forward to meeting Nae and Ronde at the bus stop after school with snacks in hand. Trish Ann could always be caught sitting Indian style reading a good book. She was known to give it to you straight, however, always with love. She would have you laughing at something she said and before you know it, you end up laughing at yourself. That was Trish Ann. She will truly be missed.
Trish Ann was preceded in death by her parents Samuel H. and Helen H. Dillard, sister Hestene Washington, and brothers Sherman, Raymond, Ronald and Wesley Dillard.
Trish Ann leaves to cherish her memories daughter Erin Grace Chandler, granddaughter Danasia Dillard, grandson Arondé Dillard, great-granddaughter Asa Holden, siblings Joyce Lewis (Robert) of New Castle, DE, Judy Cornish of Newark, DE, Earleen McKenney of Dover, DE, Maxceen Dillard of New Castle, DE, Carolyn Dillard of Wilmington, DE, Gary Dillard of Philadelphia, PA, Linda Njobati of Middletown, DE, Denese Jones of Wilmington, DE, Dennis Dillard of Delmar, DE, Karen Robinson of New Castle, DE and Karl Dillard of Bear, DE, forever son Daywan Andrews, plus a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
