Patricia Eilts
March 21, 1940 - November 27, 2025
Patricia Eilts, 85, of Lowpoint, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025 at the Apostolic Christian Home of Roanoke surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease.
She was born on March 21, 1940 in Metamora, IL to Willard and Marie Adams Gangloff. She married Roger Eilts on November 28, 1959 in Metamora, IL. She embraced her role as a farmer's wife, maintaining an immaculate home and cooking delicious meals, though she also wasn't afraid to help out and get her hands dirty. Roger passed away on August 27, 1977 and remained the love of her lifetime.
Surviving are her children, James Eilts of Eureka, IL, Tamara Sullivan of Sauk City, WI, Sharon (David) Eckstein of Roanoke, IL, Beverly (Brian) Woodward of Roanoke, IL, Jamie (Brenda) Eilts of Toluca, IL; 13 grandchildren, Lee (Mary) Eilts, Michael Eilts, Jacqualyn (Sean Taulbee) Eilts, Justin (Kiley) Sullivan, Kristina Sullivan, Derek (Jasmine) Sullivan, Lauren Sullivan, Alyssa (Max) Huschen, Austin (Brooklyn) Eckstein, Logan (Kate) Woodward, Nathaniel Woodward, Jenna Eilts, Kayden Eilts, 16 great grandchildren; and one brother Gene (Lori) Gangloff of Washington, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Marie Gangloff; her husband, Roger Eilts; one sister, Eileen McCord; and one brother, Don Gangloff.
Throughout her life, she enjoyed work opportunities at Snag Creek Golf Course, Country Craftsman Too, and Ameren, but above all, her greatest achievement was being a devoted mother to her 5 children. In addition to "mom", some other important titles she held were 4-H leader, CCD teacher, chef, and gracious hostess. She maintained a close relationship with her grandchildren, teaching them how to bake, attending their sporting events, fostering a love of card games, and hosting countless sleepovers at the farm. Her grandkids will never forget the creative, elaborate cakes she decorated for every birthday and special occasion.
She enjoyed a Catholic education at St. Mary's Grade School in Metamora and remained devoted to the Catholic faith for the remainder of her life. She was most recently a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Roanoke where a funeral mass was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Fr. David Kipfer officiated. Visitation was held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the services at the church on Tuesday. Burial was at Linn Mount Vernon Cemetery in Washburn.
