Patricia "Pat" Jean Felger, 86, passed away on February 2, 2024 in the presence of loved ones.
She was born on December 18, 1937 to Helen and Joseph Gubany in Campbell, Ohio. She was one of three children: late Sue Summers and late Donald "Buzz" Gubany. Pat trained as a nurse at Bellevue Hospital in New York. She eventually graduated with a nursing degree from Brigham Young University in Utah.
Pat was married to the love of her life, late David Felger for 62 years. If they weren't having a social gathering with their neighbors, they were pulling their hair out raising their five daughters: Dana, Andrea "Lee", Amy, Mary "Muffie" and Nettie. Pat left behind seven grandchildren (Josh, Nick, Emily, Erika, Hayden, Garrett, and Gabby) and three great-grandchildren (Norah, Roan, and Arlo), all whom held a special place in her heart.
Pat's infectious laughter echoed through the years, and if you couldn't keep up with that, you surely couldn't keep up with the multitude of states she called home. Home for Pat was Ohio, Utah, New Hampshire, Michigan, Indiana, Tennessee, Washington, and finally settling in Georgia. Pat embraced each chapter of her life with zest. She spent her days hosting book clubs, attending garden gatherings, donning her signature red lipstick, and relishing in the joy of being wined and dined.
A true adventurer, Pat's wanderlust led her to live in Sweden for a year and explore the cobblestone streets of Eastern Europe, fueled by her interest in her Slovak ancestry. Loved ones might say that Pat was sassy, spunky, and an avid reader with a passion for learning.
Her absence leaves a void that will be felt immensely. Pat's affection for butter was legendary; she believed there was no problem that couldn't be solved with an extra pat of the good stuff. In her honor, may we all spread a little extra love - and butter - in our lives.
A celebratrion of Pat's life will be held at a later date. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.mckoon.com.
