Patricia "Trish" Lavone Fields, one of God's special angels, was called home on Wednesday, July 16th, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. At the age of 59, Trish was born on April 8, 1966, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to the union of the late Howard Taft and Nancy Carol Fields Boggs. Affectionately known as "Trish," she was a beautiful breath of fresh air, bringing immense joy to her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Trish spent her entire life in the Letcher and Harlan counties, where she created countless cherished memories. She had a passion for crossword puzzles, enjoyed coloring in her books, and loved watching classic television shows, particularly The Dukes of Hazzard and Good Times, with "JJ" being her favorite character. She believed in the Pentecostal faith and regularly attended the Seco Pentecostal Church until it was tragically destroyed by flooding. Trish also looked forward to family reunions at Kingdom Come State Park, a place that held a special significance in her heart. Her love for the outdoors and her vibrant spirit made her a truly special lady whose presence will be deeply missed.

Trish is preceded in death by her parents, Howard Taft and Nancy Carol Fields Boggs, as well as her brothers, Richard Johnson, Jeffery Lynn Pendleton, and Richard Pendleton, Jr., and her sister, Sarah Pendleton Mullins.

She leaves behind a loving family that includes her sisters, Kathleen (Jimmie) Cornett of Cumberland, Kentucky, and Mary (Ted) Collins of Isom, Kentucky, and her brother, David Dewayne (Angie) Pendleton of Partridge, Kentucky, along with a host of other relatives and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 26th at 11 am at the Eolia Community Park.

The Cumberland Valley Funeral Home is honored to serve the Fields family during this difficult time. Trish's spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and her absence will be felt forever.
