Patricia Dawn Gabbard, age 78, of Myton, passed away October 21, 2025, at her daughter’s home in Vernal.
She was born June 22, 1947, in Roosevelt, to Milton and Florence Gayler Lott. She married Ronald Lee Gabbard, Sr. on September 23, 1971. He died February 2, 2021.
Patricia worked at the Fort Myton Café for several years. She liked to misspell (usually on purpose) the words on the menu board, just too see how long it took people to notice. She had also worked as a hairstylist.
Patricia had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. She was the most fun person to be around and always smiled – making the best of every situation. One of her favorite pastimes was heading to Wendover for the weekend. She enjoyed her wine, and spending time with her family, especially at summer barbeques. She also liked to play cards and Bingo at the Myton Legion Hall. She will be very deeply missed.
Patricia is survived by her children, Sherry (Jim) Gray, Vernal; Justin Gabbard, Roosevelt, James Gabbard; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren with one on the way; a sister, Corky Dvorak, Wisconsin; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald; son, Ronald Jr.; parents; siblings, Joseph Gayler, Ruth Montgomery, Jerry Gayler; and a grandson-in-law, Ryan Harvey.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary. There will be a viewing that morning from 10-10:45 a.m.
Burial will be in the Myton City Cemetery.
