Patricia Ann Gannon of Manteo, NC, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2024, following a brief illness. She was born in Trenton, NJ, on February 20, 1953.
She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Margaret (Callan) Virili, and a son, Jeffrey Gannon. She is survived by her husband, Cornelius Gannon of Manteo, NC, daughter Lt Cdr Danielle Grady (USN Ret), son-in-law, Dr. John Grady, and grandchildren, Maggie and Jake. She is also survived by sisters Margaret Graham and Elizabeth Mccallum, as well nephews Robert Graham, Christopher Graham, and Thomas Mackie, and nieces Christina Johnson and Tory Mackie.
Patricia received an associate's degree as a courtroom recorder and later was employed in the nuclear industry before assuming her most coveted role as a mother and grandmother.
A small service will be held with close family at the Thomas Shinn Funeral Home in Manahawkin, NJ, followed by a brief ceremony at St. Mary's Cemetery also in Manahawkin, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Cancer Institute (cancer.gov) or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org).
