Patricia J. Garreau, age 77, of Linn, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at her residence.
Pat was born on June 16, 1948, in Burlington, Iowa, a daughter to the late James and Florence (McCabe) Rowan.
She was a 1966 graduate of Norte Dame High School in Burlington, Iowa. She later earned her B.S. from Florida State University.
Pat proudly served her country in the United States Army.
On March 29, 1974, she was united in marriage to Lyle E. Garreau in Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Lyle preceded her in death on January 10, 2025.
Pat enjoyed photography, woodworking, reading, playing cards, doing puzzles, baking, and gardening, especially her yellow tea rose. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.
Patricia is survived by her two children, Gail (Marvin) Lande of Guthrie Center, Iowa and Kelly Garreau of Linn; two grandchildren, Jessica Lande of Gilbert, Iowa and Shelby (Travis) Cunningham of Zephyrhills, Florida; four great grandchildren, Luke and Liam Cunningham and Grayson and Harper Lande; one brother, Tom (Sara) Rowan of Danville, Iowa.; one sister, Kathleen (Vern) Peterschmidt of Albuquerque, New Mexico; a sister-in-law, Jody Rowan of New London, Iowa, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents and spouse of fifty years, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Chad Garreau and one brother, Michael Rowan.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Morton Chapel in Linn with Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment with full military honors will be in St. George Parish Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. George Catholic Church in Linn.
