Patricia Lee (Munro) Groening passed away on March 8, 2025.
Born in Adrian, Michigan, to Leila and James Munro, Patricia grew up in
Niles, Michigan, where she attended school before pursuing higher
education at Michigan State University. She earned a bachelor's degree in
Social Work and later continued her studies in fine arts and photography at
the Rochester Institute of Technology and the Visual Studies Workshop in
Rochester, New York.
Patricia had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and especially enjoyed
hiking in the Rocky Mountains near Boulder, Colorado. She was also
dedicated to maintaining her health and found joy in practicing Pilates.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Groening; her daughter, Lisa Fackler;
her son-in-law, Matt Fackler; and her granddaughter, Isla Fackler, her
brother Jim Munro and wife Linda and, his sister, Melanie Piacentino and
her husband Joe.
In accordance with Patricia's wishes, no services will be provided. Those
who wish to honor her memory may make donations to the Colorado
Cancer Foundation, PO Box 7116, Boulder, CO 80302, in her name.
