Patricia Sue Hamilton, 83 of Bloomington IN, passed away peacefully at Hearthstone Health Campus with her loved ones by her side Sunday January 25, 2026.
Born August 15, 1942, in Bloomington IN, she was the daughter of Hubert and Clara Hooten. While growing up she lived in Paoli IN. Pat graduated from the class of 1960 and was the Class President. Pat loved and treasured her classmates and enjoyed attending class reunions annually for many years.
While in high school Pat worked in her family-owned grocery store. After high school, Pat owned and operated a flower shop in Paoli. Once she married her husband Bob, she became a State Farm Office Manager in Bloomington IN. She worked there until her retirement.
Pat was an avid golfer and IU fan and loved to attend the football and basketball games with her husband. Pat and Bob enjoyed their retirement years by spending their winters in Melbourne Beach, Florida. They considered this their 2nd home and had many friends in this area.
Pat married the love of her life Robert (Bob) Hamilton in Paoli at Friends Church in 1972. Pat and Bob were married 48 years before her husband passed away in 2020.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, brother Donnie and stepson Thomas.
Pat is survived by her children John (Tamera) Stone of Ellettsville, Debbie (Steve) Murphy of Ellettsville, Dee (Brent) Phillips of Morgantown GA, and Jay (Tina) Hamilton of Ripley WV.
Grandchildren include Josh, Chelsea, Colin, Caisea, Caleb, Chloe, Pearce, Easton, Matt, Angie, Naomi, James, Riley and two great grandchildren, Camden and Logan.
Funeral services will be January 30, 2026, at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville, Indiana. Visitation will begin at 11 with service starting at 1. Following the service Pat will be laid to rest at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington.
