Patricia Harzer, beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 8th, 2025, at the age of 87. Pat lived a life marked by compassion, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.
Her warmth and generosity touched everyone she met — whether through her volunteer work with NAMI, the Girl Scouts, or her many service efforts through her cherished church, Christ Church United Church of Christ in Elizabethtown. Pat's spirit of giving was a beacon of hope and kindness to all who knew her.
A proud alumna of Elizabethtown High School, Pat was captain of the field hockey team and actively involved in the yearbook and band. She went on to graduate from Jefferson Nursing School and began her career as a registered nurse, a profession that perfectly matched her nurturing nature.
Pat was a cherished mother, grandmother, and soon-to-be great-grandmother. Her dedication to her family was unwavering — from attending school sports, dance lessons, and art classes, to caring for her beloved husband Rick through his final days. Her life was filled with joy, laughter, and love, and she found happiness in gardening, outdoor activities, and music.
After raising her children, Pat returned to her nursing career and continued to serve others until her retirement from Philhaven. Her strength and resilience inspired many, and her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who had the honor of knowing her.
Patricia Harzer will be remembered as a strong, loving woman whose life was a testament to the power of kindness and perseverance. Her memory will continue to shine brightly in the lives she touched.
A memorial service will be held on October 18th, 2025 at 3PM at Christ Church United Church of Christ, 247 S.
