Patricia Ann Hayslette

Funeral service for Mrs. Patricia Ann Hayslette, 80, of Oxford was held at 1 pm on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with Minister Chance Goodwin officiating. Burial followed at Forestlawn Gardens. The family received friends from 5-7 pm Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Hayslette is preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Morrison (Dewey); parents, James A. Reid and Mary H. Reid; and niece, Traci Goodspeed. Mrs. Hayslette worked as a cosmetologist for 55 years serving the Anniston/Oxford area. She also worked in a chiropractic practice for several years. She was a loving, longtime member of the Church of Christ. She loved sports, particularly Alabama Football and Braves Baseball. She enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved going to the beach with her family. Mrs. Hayslette was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and mom to her babies, Sissy and Sassy. Survivors include her husband of 12 years, Lee H. Hayslette; children, Gary Wood, Donnie Wood, Bobby Wood (Michelle), and Dana Morris (Terence); step-children, Teresa Kauffman (William), Cynthia Doggett (Daniel), and Dale Hayslette (Mary Jean); grandchildren, Brandon McCraw, Whitney Collins, Shirley Scott, Trey Wood, Lauren Wood, Kyle Wood, Shelby Wood, Carlie Wood, Chloe Taylor and Mekhi Curry; great grandchildren, Anna McCraw, Allie Law, Clemmie Williams, Isla Williams, Dawson Wood, and Kali Lipscomb; sister, Pam Gunnett; nephews, Jason Davis, Josh Davis, and Tommy Morrison; and a host of friends. Pallbearers were Brandon McCraw, Trey Wood, Kyle Wood, Jason Davis, Josh Davis, Bobby Wood, Donnie Wood, and Tommy Morrison. Honorary pallbearers were the members of Saks Church of Christ.
