Patricia Ellen Himes

Patricia Ellen Himes age 84 a resident of Coalton, WV departed this life Friday afternoon at the residence of her daughter, Teresa Bradley. She was born October 19, 1940 at Cumberland, MD, a daughter of the late Marie Heier Kearchner.
On July 2, 1960, at Belington, WV she was united in marriage to the late Porter Goff Himes Jr. who preceded June 22, 2004.
She is survived by: Five children, Martin Courtney of Coalton, Paul Himes and wife Judy of Mabie, WV, Walter Himes of Junior, WV, Jesse Himes of Barbour County, Teresa Bradley and husband, David Bradley Jr, with whom she made her home with of Coalton.
Additional survivors include: Grandchildren; Paul Himes Jr, Amanda Himes, Amanda Sigley, Perry Himes, Jesse Himes Jr, Heather Himes, Caleb Himes, Nevan Himes, David G. Bradley and wife Cortney, Joseph Bradley and wife Ashley, numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Other survivors include; a very special friend, Kathy Nethken Daniels of Mabie, and many more who considered her a grandmother in the Coalton Community.
In addition to her husband, and parents she was preceded in death by two sisters: Esther Courtney, Catherine Maiers, two brothers: George Kearchner and John Kearchner, one daughter-in-law, Linda Himes, and one Great-Granddaughter Tiffany Arbogast.
Patricia attended the schools of Maryland, and was protestant by faith. She loved reading, gardening, crocheting, and spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends will be received from the Talbott Funeral Home, 56 N. Brandenburg Street, Belington, WV 26250 on Monday August 25th, from 11am – 1pm the funeral hour with Pastor John Welch officiating. Interment will follow in the Church of the Brethren Cemetery near Junior, WV. The Talbott Funeral Home in Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Ms. Patricia Ellen Himes.
