Patricia Rae (Mitchell) Hobson, 77, of Lafayette, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024, at Franciscan Health East.
She was born January 23, 1947, in Muncie, IN, to the late Ray and Glendabelle (Walradth) Mitchell.
Pat graduated from Union Consolidated High School in Modoc, IN with the class of 1965.
On August 28, 1966, she married David E. Hobson in Blountsville, IN and he survives.
Pat worked as an administrative secretary for Purdue University for 20 years in the Agriculture Economics Department before retiring in 2014.
She enjoyed quilting, cooking, tending her flowers and especially the time spent with her family.
Surviving with her husband, David Hobson of Lafayette, IN is a daughter, Tricia (Paul) Wright of Lafayette, IN a son, Michael (Kim) Hobson of Fishers, IN and a brother, David (Pam) Mitchell of Middletown, IN. Also surviving are grandchildren, Clayton and Carly Wright both of Lafayette, IN, and Kiley (Jason) Lanahan of Flowery Branch, GA. As well as two great grandchildren, Walker Lanahan and Miller Lanahan both of Flowery Branch, GA.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, and again 1 hour prior to the service which will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909 with Chaplain Dan Hopkins officiating. Her burial will follow at Meadow View Cemetery in Lafayette, IN.
