Patricia Sue Townson Honeycutt May 23, 1962 - March 16, 2025Patricia Sue Townson Honeycutt, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on March 16, 2025, in Tehachapi, California, at the age of 62. Born on May 23, 1962, in La Puente, California.Patricia lived a life full of love, faith, and devotion to her family. She spent most of her life growing up in Tehachapi and is a graduate of Tehachapi High School. Her parents managed the Tehachapi airport for many years. Patricia was also well known in her community for her years of dedicated work at Albertsons, where she worked in several departments, but was fondly remembered as "the candy lady" back in the days when Albertsons offered movie rentals. Later, she answered a higher calling, leaving the workforce to care for her husband and children. Through the years, she could always be found with a baby in her arms. She had a deep affection for animals, a tender soul, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. Patricia was a light in the lives of all who knew her. She shared warmth, funny posts, heartfelt messages, and delicious recipes, always thinking of others before herself. Though she faced hardships, Patricia was the embodiment of grace and positivity. Her love for her children and grandchildren was unmatched and pure. Patricia is survived by her husband of 44 years, James Honeycutt, her son Alex Honeycutt; and her daughter Kristin, son-in-law Christopher Simmon, sister-in law Cathy Chambers, treasured sister Karen, brother-in-law Jeff, brother-in-law Trey Roper, and a long line of cherished nieces and nephews. Patricia was a proud and loving grandmother to Celicity, Benjamin, Eli, Harrison, Isabelle, and Isaac, who brought immense joy to her life. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mary Townson; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kathryn and Charlie Honeycutt; her oldest sister, Terry Roper; and her nephew, Daniel Roper. A memorial service will be held in her honor on April 12th at 1:00 p.m. at the Woods Chapel in Tehachapi, with a gathering to follow at the Woods Pavilion. Please bring a smile with you.
