Patricia Ann Johnston, 88, of Burke passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center, Malone with her loving family by her side.
Born on December 17, 1936, in Churubusco, NY she was the daughter of Pierre "Pete" and Lillian C. (Peets) LaClair.
She was married to George William "Bill" Patterson on November 6, 1954, in Immaculate Heart Church, Churubusco. He predeceased her on March 21, 1975. She then married Calvin Johnston on December 18, 1976, in Burke Methodist Church. He predeceased her on August 7, 1995.
She graduated from Chateaugay Central School in the class of 1954. She worked as a waitress at Elm Circle in Westville and Jon's Restaurant in Malone. She was a busy homemaker spending many hours cooking and baking. She was famous for her donuts at Elm Circle.
She is survived by her children, a daughter, Madonna and Jim Otis; sons, Bart and June Patterson, Craig and Anne Patterson, Jay and Wanda Patterson and Shawn Patterson and his companion, Pam; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother, Richard and Barbara LaClair; her lifetime friend, Irene Garrow; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husbands, she was predeceased by her parents, a son, Peter Patterson on May 13, 1973; and a sister, Audrey Harrigan.
A graveside service will be held at the North Burke Cemetery, Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 1 p.m.
A celebration of Patricia's life will be held immediately following at the Burke Fire Station.
Donations in Patricia's memory may be made to the Burke Fire Department and the Shriners Children's Hospital.
