Michael Christopher Bradshaw Siskavich, 36, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Oct. 10, 2025. Michael was born on August 19, 1989 at CVPH in Plattsburgh.
Michael had many gifts and natural talents. He was an accomplished cook who worked in kitchens across the state and was especially proud of his most recent gig, where he felt he could truly create and nourish others.
A gifted musician, Michael could - and did! - play anything with strings. After taking guitar lessons as a teenager, he was immediately and irrevocably hooked. He was rarely seen without at least one instrument in tow, often carrying his ukulele, a small, travel-sized appendage that made an appearance at every family function and party. When he wasn't playing one of his guitars, he was listening to funky, obscure renditions and introducing friends and family to his latest discoveries. Music was part of his soul, and his sweet melodies became the soundtrack of his family's life.
Michael also had a green thumb, first honed while growing questionable plants in his bedroom closet as a teenager. Over the years, his greenhouse expanded, and he lovingly tended to a wide variety of houseplants and gardens. He was a wealth of knowledge about soil quality and plant care, rescuing many an ailing African violet along the way.
He was also the king of dad jokes and puns, able to keep eyes - and laughs - rolling for hours. His family will proudly carry on his legacy of terrible jokes.
Michael is survived by his wife, Lauren (Boyer) Siskavich; his daughter and love of his life, Lorelei Grace; his mother, Annette Bradshaw; his siblings, Lorraine (Raye) Lobdell, Joseph (Cheryl) Siskavich, Pamela (Richard) Pitts, Virginia (Daniel) Bosley, Kristin (Bradley) Nichols, Andrew Siskavich, Kimberly Siskavich, and James (Kayla) Siskavich; his grandfather, Jack Norris; a special uncle, Troy Bradshaw; a special cousin, Brandon Bradshaw, all from Indiana; as well as several beloved cousins, nieces, and a nephew.
Michael was predeceased by Joseph and Linda Siskavich, who were both his grandparents and the loving parents who raised him; his great-grandmother, Artie Bradshaw-Bowne; grandmother, Lana Norris; and father, Dale Bradshaw, all of Indiana.
A graveside service will be held at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Lyon Mountain on Monday, October 20 at 11 a.m.
