Christopher Michael Tracy, 43, of Malone, New York, passed away on October 11th, 2025, at 12:40 p.m. at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, with his little sister by his side.
Born on New Year's Day in 1982 as a surprise birthday gift to his dad. Chris brought light, laughter, and a one-of-a-kind spirit to everyone who knew him. He was the beloved son of the late Lloyd James Tracy and Belinda Sue Mangrum, and the grandson of the late Robert E. Tracy Sr. and Helen M. Tracy.
Chris is survived by his sisters, Emily LaShomb of Massena and Brandy Alexandria Tracy of Malone; his daughter, Autumn Rayne Slocum of Malone; Autumn's mother and brother, Faith and Noah Slocum; and his nephews, Austin Micheal LaShomb and Logan Allen Howard of Massena, Dakota Thomas Wilson of Tennessee, and Bryce Kaymeron Webb of Malone. Each of them carries forward a piece of his big heart and the love he shared with them. His presence may be gone, but his love will never fade.
Chris faced many challenges throughout his life, including struggles with mental health. Despite these hardships, he continued to care deeply for others and fought to find peace and purpose.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 25th, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 48 Harrison Place, Malone, where family and friends will come together to share memories, laughter, and love in honor of Chris's life.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Chris's memory to Ronald McDonald House Charities. The Ronald McDonald House was there for Chris and his family when his daughter, Autumn, was in the hospital, and the kindness they received continues to mean so much.
Chris will be remembered for his warmth and his deep love for his family. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in every smile, every story, and every act of kindness shared in his name.
