Patricia A. Kelly 84, formerly of Tobyhanna, Coolbaugh Township, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at the Maple Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Kingston, Pennsylvania, where she was a resident since 2018.

Patricia was born in Rumford, Maine on March 10, 1941, a daughter of the late James and Evangeline (Dorion) Ripley. Several years after graduating from Stephens High School in Rumford, Maine, she attended nursing school and later was married to Edward Kelly, a radio operator in the United States Air Force. Upon Edward's discharge, they moved to New Jersey and eventually established a home in Pompton Lakes.

Active in recreation, she was the chairman of the recreation board as well as a participant in women's softball and coaching girls' softball teams. Patricia worked in the computer library for New Jersey Bell until an injury forced her into retirement. Upon her husband's retirement, the couple moved to Pocono Farms C.C., in Coolbaugh Township in 2003.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents, James and Evangeline Ripley, are her brothers, Robert and Fredrick Ripley.

Patricia is survived by her husband Edward, three sons, Mark of Tobyhanna, PA, Wayne of West Milford, NJ, and Paul of Butler, NJ., daughters-in-law, Liz and Francia Kelly, brother, David of Portland, ME, sister, Janice Nichols of Oxford, ME, and their spouses, Barbara and Duane. Patricia had six grandchildren, Jennifer Kelly of Stanhope, NJ, Michael also of Stanhope, NJ, Alyssa Kelly of Jacksonville, NC, Steven Kelly of Amarillo, TX, Andrew Kelly of Kinnelon, NJ, and Jaclyn Laganella of Maspeth, NY, two great grandsons, Joseph and John Fuger of Stanhope, NJ, and extended family members.

A memorial service will be held for members of the family in New Jersey at a future date.
