Frances Naomi Kelly

Kelly - Frances Naomi Kelly, affectionately known as "Fran" by her sisters and "Granny Franny" by her grandchildren, age 87, of Lake City, Florida passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025, at HCA Florida Lake City Hospital. She was born in Lake Butler, Florida on May 31, 1938, to the late Mills Kelly and Ina Kearce Kelly. Frances was raised in Lake Butler and shortly after graduating from Union County High School she married her best friend, Lonnie Louis Lee. They built a beautiful life residing in White Springs for a short time before making Lake City their home where they lovingly raised their 3 daughters. Frances was devoted to her family and filled with great joy to be a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She had a passion for helping others feel beautiful and was able to fulfill her passion through her longtime career as a Hairdresser. Frances spent many years bringing beauty and comfort to others, not just through her craft, but through her kindness and compassion. Her strength of spirit and generous heart left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Frances was also very artistic and talented at crocheting. Throughout the years she gifted many blankets, throws, and hand towels to family and friends. More than anything, Frances had a deep love for her family and cherished every precious moment with them. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Lonnie Louis Lee; daughter, Kay Woods; sisters, Marilyn Bodiford and Millie Register; and great grandsons, Mason and Timothy Stamper.

Frances is survived by her daughters, Rene (John) Daly of Lake City, FL and Jackie (Mike) Dillinger of Naples, FL; sister, Wanda Bradley of Trenton, FL; grandchildren, Nick (Anna) Daly, Marcus (Brianna) Daly, Matt (Lydia) Dillinger, Lonnie Dillinger, Sonny Dillinger, Stephanie (Mark) Stamper, and Ricky Featherstone; great grandchildren, Penny, Robin, and Polly-Anne Dillinger, Mya, Lilly, and Jensen Stamper; along with several extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Frances's Life will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 11:00 am at Ferreira Funeral Services Chapel with Pastor Mike Norman officiating. Interment will follow at Falling Creek Cemetery in Lake City, FL. The family will receive friends on Friday an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
