Patricia (Pat) Lane, born to Albert and Sybil (Swanson) Jauron on January 30, 1936 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin was reunited with our dad, her John, on the morning of October 14. Mom is survived by her sister, Margaret (Peg) Luby of Madison, Wisconsin.
Patsy Jauron (Mom) grew up in Kankakee, Illinois where she met John Lane (Dad) when they were 14 and 16 years old. Mom attended Purdue University, where she took classes for fashion and marketing and was an active, involved Delta Gamma. After college, she loved her time as a buyer for Steven's Department Store in Chicago. After Dad rescued Mom from a train wreck, because of course he did, he proposed and they were married on August 10, 1957.
After a wide sampling of many different cities, they settled their family in Fairview, Pennsylvania, where Mom raised six kids; Kathleen (Tom) Hackathorn, Thomas (Deborah) Lane, Mark (Sue) Lane, Kevin Lane, Scott (Anne) Lane and Meagan (Ryan) Suedkamp. Their kids gave Mom and Dad ten grandchildren; Lane, Kaileen (Dan), Devon, Melody, Mia, Connor (Hailey), Erica, Carter (Megan), Ryan, Georgia, and three great-grandchildren, Lenox, Layton and Statler.
During their 24 years in Fairview, Mom and Dad were active members with Holy Cross Parish and Lakeshore Country Club. Mom was the President of the Fairview Booster Club as Mom and Dad were notoriously beloved boosters of Fairview High School Football. Mom could throw an incredible post-game party, always as her kids' biggest cheerleader. She also modeled in fundraisers and to promote locally owned businesses.
In 1988 life brought Mom and Dad to the southwest, Tucson, Arizona, where she had lived for 37 years. While in Tucson, Mom and Dad were parishioners at St. Thomas the Apostle and Mom volunteered with the Assistance League of Tucson. For over five years with the Assistance League, Mom was the buyer for Operation School Bell and clothed 10,000 children in need, one of her proudest accomplishments.
In Mom's later years, she and Dad met amazing neighbors and (of course) Mom organized a Dinner Club, where neighbors got together each month for great food and great company.
Mom's family will be forever grateful to the incredible caregivers with Canyon View, where Mom spent her last year and a half as the social glue and bingo instigator among the residents.
Then Mom rested.
Services to be held at St. Thomas the Apostle at 5150 North Valley View, Tucson, Arizona 85718 on Monday, January 5th at 10:30am. Reception information to follow.
