Patricia Lemke
February 16, 1948 – August 16, 2025
Patti, age 77, was born February 16, 1948 to Inge and Glenn Haldeman in Augusta, WI. Patti is survived by her children, Jeffrey Steller (Tammy) and Jennifer Haugsland (Brad); grandchild Mya Steller; and brother Larry Haldeman (Donna). She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Don Lemke.
Patti grew up in the Wausau area and graduated from DC Everest High School in 1966. She went on to build a career as a realtor and then as the Director of Wausau Area Mobile Meals, where she formed many lasting friendships. Later in life, Patti pursued her passion for the arts, continuing her education in jewelry fabrication and exploring her lifelong love of creative expression.
From an early age, Patti's life was defined by service and compassion. She gave generously of her time and energy, devoting countless hours to helping others. Whether delivering meals through Wausau Area Mobile Meals, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, or serving in numerous church ministries, she lived with a heart for giving. No task was ever too small if it meant bringing comfort or joy to someone else.
Beyond her volunteer work, Patti's kindness extended to every corner of life. She loved all animals-especially dogs-and always believed that caring for them was another way of honoring God's creation. Friends and family will remember her for her generosity, warm smile, and unwavering willingness to lend a hand.
Patti's legacy lives on in the countless lives touched through her selfless acts of love and service.
A celebration of life will be held on September 19th at Covenant Community Presbyterian Church at 11:00AM with visitation starting at 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wausau Area Mobile Meals or an animal rescue of choice in Patti's honor.
