Patricia S. (Staggs) Magala, 74, of Spring Township, passed away July 12, 2024 Sinking Spring Nursing & Rehab. She was the wife of John F. Magala, Jr., with whom she shared 55 years of marriage on Sept. 28th.
Pat, a daughter of the late Weston G. and Evelyn C. (Hafer) Staggs, was born in West Reading. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Valarie A. Noecker, John F. Magala, III, Robert W. Magala, and Ted J. Magala; three grandchildren, James H. Noecker, III, John F. Magala, IV, and Madison J. Magala. She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael A. Staggs.
She was a 1967 graduate of Wilson High School and attended West Chester University. Pat was a member of the Penn State Master Gardener, Berks County Horticultural Society, PA Heartland Herb Society, and a life member of the VFW Auxiliary in Reinholds and Cushion Peak Rod & Gun. Pat served as a girl scout leader and volunteer for many years.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 24th, at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, 243 W. Penn Ave., Wernersville. A viewing will be held from 10-11:00 AM, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Reading. Online condolences may be made at www.lammandwitman.com
