Patricia "Pat" Maxwell, an enthusiastic animal lover, dedicated professional, and cherished friend, passed away on August 12, 2024, at the age of 80. Born on May 24, 1944, Pat lived her life full of love, compassion, and commitment, leaving behind a legacy that will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Pat enjoyed a remarkable 37-year career at AT&T, where her work ethic, kindness, and dedication made her a respected and valued colleague. After retiring from AT&T, Pat continued to share her talents with FDN and Siemens for another decade. Her purple-decorated cubicle was a reflection of her vibrant and unique style, a testament to the joy she brought to those around her.
A true animal lover, Pat adored her beloved pets: Sweetie, Jazzy, Lily, and Muffin. They were her constant companions, and she cared for them deeply.
She is survived by her brother, Steve Wend. Pat was also blessed with a loving second family, the Harveys—Sheila, Kevin, Hope, Alyssa and Tyler—who considered her part of their family and will forever hold her in their hearts.
Her best friend, Sheila Harvey, sent the following note "Pat and I are friends forever. I really enjoyed every moment with Pat and I will always love her".
She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her warmth, kindness, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
We will be having a private family memorial for her at our home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ASPCA or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
