Patricia was a resident of Ft. Pierce from her early childhood. She was a graduate of Central High School. She began her career at Citizens Federal Savings & Loan as a mortgage processor. She worked for several years for Kleuppelburg Financial Services, devoting a lot of time to the Kleuppelburg family. She then worked for some time with the St. Lucie County Clerk's office as a certified Distressed Property Expert, as well as a Short Sales & Foreclosure Resource. At times this meant she was settling property sales "on the courthouse steps". She then became interested in the real estate field and became an agent. She was first employed by Joanne Allen Real Estate, eventually moving on to Hoyt C. Murphy/Coldwell Banker.
Better known as Patt by most of her coworkers (always Patty by her family), she truly enjoyed meeting people, interacting with them, and helping them find just the right property. However, her career was cut short in 2013 due to a visual impairment caused by a rare form of dementia. Her husband, devoted neighbors, and family and friends helped her to continue living at home for as long as possible.
Following the death of her husband, Terry Hanna, in 2016, her Aunt Carol became her guardian and primary caregiver. As the dementia progressed and she could no longer remain in her home, she moved to Lakeland to be near Carol. As the dementia worsened, many wonderful medical, assisted living, and memory care providers served Patt in her final years. A special thank you to that community of caregivers, and to all those who reached out to her.
One very special note. Her grandmother's prayers were answered years ago when Patt accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. Her life was never the same again. Though she experienced many trials and challenges through the years, her faith remained strong and she is now back with Grandma.
Predeceased by: Husband, Terry Hanna; Father, Bill McPherson; Step-Mother, Sheila McPherson; Mother, Lorraine McPherson Glifort
Survived by: Brother, Troy McPherson, Sister, Terry Lynn McPherson; Sister, Kathryn White (Alan), New York; Step-Daughter, Morgan Hanna, Georgia; Aunt, Carol Toadvine, Lakeland
